Putts & Pins was born from a love for nostalgia and the desire to bring people together in a fun, welcoming environment. We’re an 80s/90s-themed restaurant and bar, offering a unique combination of retro vibes, great food, and exciting entertainment. Our founders envisioned a place where friends and families could enjoy tech-infused mini golf, duckpin bowling, and delicious meals all under one roof, with the charm and décor inspired by the neon-filled eras of the 80s and 90s. Since opening in West Des Moines, we’ve become a destination for those who love to relive the past while making new memories—whether it’s over a round of golf, a fun event, or a craft cocktail in our speakeasy. Mitchell Kann, Owner
Bio: As an experienced commercial real estate agent, I specialize in helping developers and owners find ideal properties that align with their business goals. My entrepreneurial spirit and passion for creating businesses led me to develop Putts & Pins, a unique entertainment venue that blends fun and community in the metro area. I enjoy taking risks and seizing opportunities, always aiming to innovate and improve the spaces and experiences around us. Putts & Pins is a testament to my commitment to bringing pioneering concepts to life.
Eric Kann, Owner
Bio: As an Iowa native and an attorney with a zest for innovative commercial developments, I'm dedicated to creating top-notch entertainment experiences for all to enjoy. This professional experience also includes my service as an U.S. Army officer and a strong foundation in the construction industry, both hands-on and in managerial roles. These traits coalesced to bring Putts & Pins into existence which blends a top-notch food and beverage program with a first-in-the-state competitive golf entertainment offering. I have found my passion in being hyper-focused on the small details that lead to amazing experiences for customers and clients alike.
KIND WORDS
This is a great place for a date or to go with a group for a day out. the food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is so upbeat. they almost always have something going on, whether that be music, talk at the bar, or even trivia/bingo. we did have some technical difficulties, but that's no fault of the staff. the staff were very funny and did whatever they could to fix the tech problems. definitely worth a visit.

Did our team activity at Putts & Pins. Great food, excellent service, played mini-golf, and teamed up to play bowling which was so much fun using the small balls to bowl down the pins!! We all had so much fun, we'll probably do it again in the fall. Great times ahead!
